About Janice!

Hey There!  … it’s me Janice.  Just to give you a heads up on me. I am an energetic and fun loving, compassionate human being. Who happens to be a middle aged African American woman and Breast Cancer Survivor.

I retired July 2015 after 31 years of service from Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, and currently work full-time as an Administrative Assistant.  I am a lifetime learner who finally obtained two Associate Degrees (Social Behavior / Liberal Arts) June 2018. I returned to Sonoma State University after 38 years to complete a degree program. Now I am three courses away from obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Multicultural Studies with an emphasis on Africana Studies. I also work part-time as a “R” Certified Sisterlock Consultant since 2011 and Sisterlocks “TA” Trichology (Hair Loss) Analyst

I really enjoy visiting museums, reading, writing, gardening, socializing, acting, cooking, spending time with my Mother and Grandchildren, writing, dancing, attending concerts, plays, Church services, watching and critiquing films, listening to all kinds of music especially Smooth Jazz and Gospel, and teaching children.  I am a mother of two adult children and a proud Grandmother of four. People often ask me… ”What are you going to do with your College Degrees? … then I tell em’ “ first off… they are going on my resume and obituary!! LOL … However, seriously I am using them everyday, and I am currently working on my first screenplay, and of course I’m thinking about pursuing a Master Degree maybe in Film Studies!  Why not?
