Kailee Adkins is a senior at the University of Mary Washington. She will be graduating in May 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. She hopes to attend graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University or George Mason University to pursue a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Her goal is to become a clinical social worker at a homeless shelter or a local school system.
Alyssa Macaranas is a Junior at the University of Mary Washington. She will be graduating in May 2019. She plans to get a B.S. in Business Administration ,with a double major in American Studies. She hopes after college to work in a local public office to learn about election campaigning and city planning. She would like to build a small business, and then get into politics. Her goal is to one day be an elected official in Virginia.
This COPLAC Digital Project is their first experience with an independent digital history/humanities project, and they feel they have gained valuable skills from this process.
