Weekend Update

Hey everyone!

As I mentioned in my milestone update, Alyssa and I were able to gather all our information for our project site that we have onto a google doc and we were able to organize it by page and found out some interesting information that we didn’t even know we had until we actually took the time out to summarize and analyze the articles. We haven’t had much progress when it comes to the visual element of our site, but we did find a handful through wikimedia commons. I got the opportunity to go away this weekend on a retreat with my college ministry. It was exactly what I needed since I have had a rough couple of weeks for me personally. I think getting away and being able to distance myself from all the stress helped me come back rejuvenated and ready to attack the rest of the project and the work in my other classes! With that being said, I wasn’t able to get much done this weekend, but Alyssa made huge progress with starting on developing our site and working on some of her pages. In this upcoming week, I plan to complete our timeline and start working on my pages after I complete the timeline. Thankfully I got a Monday night off for the first time in forever so that will definitely give me more time to dedicate to my pages, especially since I’ve passed the rough part of the semester (hopefully). Hopefully Alyssa and I can also meet up to work together on our pages so we can provide each other feedback and she can show me some of the technological aspects of wordpress that I may not possess much knowledge in. Can’t wait to continue to see the site grow and to make some significant progress this week!

  1. I just want to say that the google document you both showed us in class on Thursday is very impressive! It’s amazing how much information you guys found about your conflict and it will definitely reflect how much work you guys did when your website is completed! I’m glad you had an opportunity to step away from it and have a break though. It’s so important to be able to just escape from it every now and then. It sounds like you have a great plan for working on your site! Good luck with everything!
