The 2017 Pumpkin Festival succeeded in its goal of being a small scale town festival. The media also succeeded in showing that the festival was family friendly and community based. The positive coverage of Keene will bring a more positive resolution and image to the conflict and show that the community and college was able to come together in 2017.
The local Keene government has been working closely with the school to bring to two communities together. The college community council which includes professors, local politicians and community members and Keene State students has been working hard over the past years to bridge the disconnect between the city and college and also to improve the image of the college. I believe that their efforts have really payed off and have made the 2017 Pumpkin Festival possible.
