Hello everyone,
This week has been all over the place. First, we have started our Fall Break this Friday. My grasp on days have been off. We were able to finish our goal of collecting our materials. Our next goal is to make sure we are both able to organize the materials. We want to divide the newspapers into sections for the different parts of our websites. We will also try to set up our website now.
I think the biggest struggle for us is the realization of our photos. We were told during class that we would not be able to have access to the photos we found about desegregation in Fredericksburg. There was only one newspaper at the time in Fredericksburg during our chosen time period. We only had that choice for photos. We have one photo we got permission for, but after the news we have to rethink our options. The title of our website is based off a certain photo we found in the newspaper. Since we cannot use that now we will have to figure out what to do.
We are planning to take pictures of the high schools, so we will be able to use those photos. We were advised to also talk to someone on our campus about the problem we have. This was an unforeseen problem, but we will try to make it work. We were for sure upset by the situation, but we will make to keep moving forward.
